These terms apply when you book a Consteps School mentorship. Consteps School is run by Masru through Consteps, based in Doha, Qatar. By paying for a package, you agree to them. Questions: hello@consteps.co.
The mentorship
What each package includes is described on the Packages page. Sessions are live, one-to-one (or in a small group for Small-group Core), over Zoom or Google Meet. Your first session is a diagnostic, and the plan for the rest follows from it.
Prices and payment
- Prices are in INR for students who live in India and in USD everywhere else. INR places are limited to 2 at a time. Small-group Core is quoted per group.
- I share payment details after our free call. Payment is made in full before your diagnostic session.
- Prices can change, but not for a package you've already paid for.
Scheduling
- Sessions run between 15:00 and 23:00 Doha time (GMT+3).
- You can reschedule with at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations and missed sessions count as used, with one exception per package.
- Sessions should be used within the period of your package (6–8 weeks for Core, up to 16 weeks for Extended, 8 weeks for Small-group Core). If something serious gets in the way, tell me and we'll find a fair solution.
- If I have to cancel a session, I'll offer another time, or refund that session if no time works.
Refunds
- Before Session 1: a full refund, less the diagnostic fee.
- After Session 1 and before Session 3: a refund for the sessions you haven't used.
- After Session 3: no refund.
Upgrades
You can upgrade from Consultation or Core. What you've already paid counts towards the upgrade if you upgrade within 30 days.
Recordings
Sessions are recorded only with your consent. You get a private link for your own review, and recordings are deleted after 90 days. Please don't share them publicly.
Your work and my materials
- Your footage and projects stay yours. I won't share them or use them publicly without your written permission.
- The templates, render presets, practice footage, notes and study materials I give you are for your own learning and your own projects. Please don't resell or redistribute them.
Software
You need your own copy of DaVinci Resolve (the free version is enough for nearly everything). Consteps School is independent and isn't affiliated with Blackmagic Design. DaVinci Resolve is a trademark of Blackmagic Design.
No guarantee of results
I can promise focused attention, an honest assessment and a clear plan. What you get out of it also depends on how much you practise, so I can't guarantee a particular result, job or income.
Ending the mentorship
Either of us can end the mentorship if it isn't working, for example after repeated missed sessions or disrespectful behaviour. If I end it without good reason, I'll refund the sessions you haven't used.
Liability
I'll teach with care. To the extent the law allows, my total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for your package. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar. Before going anywhere else, let's try to sort out any disagreement by talking.
