This policy explains what Consteps School collects when you use this website or join the mentorship, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. Consteps School is run by Masru through Consteps, based in Doha, Qatar. If you have a question, write to hello@consteps.co.
What I collect
When you apply. Your name, email, country, time zone, contact number (if you give one) and your answers to the application: your Resolve version and computer, how you've learned so far, what you make, your cameras, your self-ratings, what you're stuck on, your goals, a link to your work (if you give one), your practice time, the package and start date you'd like, and whether you agree to sessions being recorded.
When you write to me. Whatever you put in your email or message.
During the mentorship. Session notes, your progress report, the projects and footage you share with me, and session recordings if you agree to them.
When you pay. The details needed for an invoice. Card and bank details are handled by the bank or payment service, not by me.
When you browse. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how the site is used (pages viewed, rough location, device type). Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to protect the site from attacks.
Why I use it
- To review your application and reply, and to plan your sessions. This is a step you ask for before we agree to work together.
- To teach you: notes, reports, feedback and recordings are part of the mentorship.
- To keep financial records that the law requires.
- To understand which pages help, only if you accept analytics cookies.
I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores applications in its database.
- Resend delivers application emails to my inbox, and the confirmation email to you.
- Google provides Google Analytics (only after you accept) and may provide Google Meet.
- Zoom or Google Meet runs the live sessions.
Each of these services processes data on my behalf under its own security and privacy terms. Some of them store data outside your country, including in the United States; they use standard legal safeguards for these transfers.
How long I keep it
- Applications from people who don't join: 12 months, then deleted.
- Student records (notes, reports, emails): for the mentorship and up to 2 years afterwards, so I can help if you come back.
- Session recordings: deleted 90 days after the session.
- Invoices: as long as tax law requires.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Cookies and browser storage
- Google Analytics runs only after you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Until then no analytics cookies are set, and Google's Consent Mode stays set to "denied" for analytics and advertising.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the site treats it as Reject.
- The site keeps two small notes in your browser (not cookies): your cookie choice, and your country for the current visit (from Cloudflare, so the Packages page can show INR in India and USD elsewhere). The country note is deleted when you close the tab.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent (to recordings or analytics) at any time. Write to hello@consteps.co and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with my answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live (for example the ICO in the UK, your national authority in the EU, or the Data Protection Board of India).
Age
The mentorship is for adults. If you're under 18, please apply with a parent or guardian's permission.
Changes
If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. For changes that matter, I'll tell current students by email.
